LOOK AT THE WAY THE FLOWERS BLOOM

There was a song written several years ago by a young man named Rick Pino, called "Romance". Jesus Culture later recorded it. They lyrics open with these words "Look at the way the flowers bloom for you, they want to show you their beauty Lord! Unto you be all the glory!"

This song has played in my heart and mind hundreds and hundreds of times since hearing that song for the first time of the campus of Christ For The Nations during a live recording when Rick Pino and Kari Jobe sang that song. Their pure innocence in the Lord when singing it to Him is what I think impacted my life forever.

Now today, over 20 years later, every time I see a field of flowers, I go back to that song, look at the way the flowers bloom for you Lord, they want to show you their beauty! It's as if they flowers are shouting it out as loud as they can how grateful they are to you Lord for allowing them to be blooming at that very moment. They don't care if it's only for a season, they are just so grateful to be there.

As I think about this in regard to my own life I think, I want to be like those flowers blooming for the Lord. The difference between my life and those flowers though is I am not a perennial or an annual, I am a lifetime, I am made to worship Him 24/7. Even in my darkest hour of my darkest moment, I was still made to worship Him. (Is. 43:21)

Is it true there are times when worship is the last thing we want to do? Absolutely. Is it true things are not fair and we feel justified in the way we feel? Of course. Does God promise to take care of our enemies? Yes He does.

The challenge today lies in looking at the way the flowers bloom for the Lord and determining how we can do the same.
