WHEN LIFE THROWS YOU A CURVE BALL

BASEBALL SEASON is FINALLY HERE! For some of us that is a really exciting thing ... for others not so much. Both feelings are totally ok. I was blessed with many years of watching my boys play baseball. My son-n-love went on to play professional ball, so we are a baseball family!

Lately the Lord has been dealing with my heart in regards to not giving up hope and looking for the light when all seems hopeless and dark. In baseball, when LIFE THROWS YOU A CURVE BALL ... your coach would say "STAY IN THE BOX!" Today I feel the Lord is telling me to "Stay in the box!" and I'd like to encourage you to do the same.

This past Sunday we celebrated our Lord and Savior's resurrection from the grave! He is as our Pastor said, the Resurrected (Matthew 28:6), Reining (Matthew 28:18) and Returning King (Acts 1:9-11) ... our help is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness. This statement right here says it all. Our hope is in Him! How can we not "stay in the box"?

If you are feeling hopeless and in a dark place, I want you to know you are not alone. There are many people in this world and probably someone sitting right next to you who is feeling the same way. Please reach out to a friend, neighbor, family member. If you attend a church, reach out to a friend or pastoral member who is able to walk with you through this time. You need someone to encourage you, help strengthen you and help you see there is hope and there is light. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life." (John 14:6) Find hope and life in Him.

When that curve ball is coming at you, resist the devil, "stay in the box", swing that bat and be victorious in your situation!
